Accessible education for all

Skilljar is dedicated to WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, fostering a user-friendly online educational environment where every learner can thrive.

Accessibility isn't just a checkbox—it's Skilljar's commitment to inclusivity and to ensuring our platform is accessible to all users. Our dedication extends beyond mere compliance; we are continually refining our features through internal and external assessments.

Our commitment to accessibility

As part of our design, definition, and development process, we conduct thorough manual testing of keyboard navigation and screen reader experiences. We also use color contrast analyzers to ensure that our color combinations are accessible to all users.

Ongoing efforts and improvements

Accessibility is integral to our product strategy. New features are designed with the most current WCAG AA standards.

Accessibility at Skilljar

Skilljar is committed to creating a platform that is accessible to the widest possible audience.

We are focused on conformance to level A and AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and help create a more user-friendly web experience for all people. While our goal is WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, there are many areas where we meet Level AAA criteria.

To achieve this goal, Skilljar runs periodic internal and external assessments to evaluate and improve current  features against existing and updated standards. Our ongoing efforts to continually improve accessibility can be found in our Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), based on the VPAT-INT template version 2.5. This report also references the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the US Federal Government Revised 508 Standards.

Accessibility is integral to our product strategy. New features are designed with the most current WCAG AA standards available at the time in mind. As part of our design, definition, and development process we perform manual tests on keyboard navigation and screen reader experiences and utilize color contrast analyzers to ensure accessible color combinations.

The Skilljar help center includes accessibility information to help creators in Skilljar design more accessible Academies.

Despite our good faith efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not yet fully meet the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution. We continue to seek out the best means to remedy these instances. As we find items that need updates, they are logged as bugs and evaluated for remediation.
